City: San Francisco
Venue: Harry Denton's Starlight Room

Please join us in celebrating the day of Barclay Crenshaw's (Claude Von Stroke) birth with an epic Dirtybird showcase, 21 floors on top of the city. With Claude Von Stroke, Catz n' Dogz, Justin Martin and J. Phlip on the infamous Opus sound system, this bird's nest will be rumbling. With drink specials all night and a $5 cover before 10, July 2 is sure to be a date to save on your calender.

fun!

too bad derrick may is on the same night.

damn... promoters in this town need to coordinate better. having two shows of this caliber on the same night (and only a couple blocks from each toher) only ends up hurting both, and the scene as a whole.

my .02

anyway, i'll check out both. :)

btw, what time does this one end? 2am i assume?

word. couldn't agree more. I used the promoter page once, but it seemed like it was being mostly used to advertise touring acts that needed a venue, or holding spots for "possible" dates. Maybe posting as soon as you have confirmed dates on the promoter page? it would just be pages of dates, but maybe with a quick skim it might help.

2am.

been hearing a lot about derrick may and was really gonna give it a shot, but now i'm leaning towards this party just because, well, you know...

outstanding line ups at both venues though.

UPDATE: To make this party that much better, the infamous Opus sound system (as heard at DB parties in the park) will be brought in to give the place a little extra kick.

The circulation of free shots will stay the same.

enjoy.

It's not May's birthday though. Birthday parties have cake and balloons.

Rich, I know youve had some bad experiences with Vessel, but im working on it. Had a meeting with venue owners and managers and addressed a lot of those issues... fucked up door process, mean security guards, i will be watching closesly

come by and let me know what you think of changes. plus i can give you a secret password which will get you in automatically ;) email me for the password

it's good to hear they're being responsive to the complaints. i'd like to stop by and check this party out early in the night. i'll have to see what the group wants to do though, it's my friend's birthday so it's really up to her. i'll let you know what's up though :)

they will be fun. go out. to one, or both.
whatever.

get drunk. dance.

I agree. I'm glad they are being responsive. I know this hasn't been the first time they've received complaints about how things have been organized. I love Vessel, everything about it, the sound system, the venue, and I really have a lot of respect for Gordon. If they could just get the cover thing down!

man that's some burly whiskey, especially after a couple stimuluseses! good times, great crowd, the bday girl went nuts when jj's remix of electric feel dropped. i was stoked to pick up a copy of nikita's new magazine and see the summer line up for habit: mikael stravostrand, tim green and bruno pronsato.... hawtness!
