This looks like it should be pretty sick. Will give microTonic a serious run for its money. Always happy to see new drum synths (i.e. not just another sample-player) on the market.

They mentioned being mostly done with it... but we'll see how they tune it all up.

yeah of course... i just meant that IMHO microtonic has sort of been the most versatile game in town for a while as far as VST drum synths go, which is surprising to me since it's been almost 5 years since its first release. there are some other solid contenders (waldorf attack, drumatic) but almost everything else i've seen is sample-based, or only does kick drums, etc. certainly using the best bits of each is the right approach.

supply and demand, i guess, more people willing to pay for yet-another-compressor-or-reverb-plugin than for drum synths.

chris posted a test track here if you want to check out the sound. obviously pretty tough to judge from one loop. the crash at the end has a unique tonal character to it.

that tonal character on the crash sounds more like the tape delay they have.
